DEFENSE DESIGN STUDIO UPDATE
ELP will be moving our annual Defense Design Studio energy to sharing stories in the hopes of inspiring others to take on the powerful practice of student defenses of learning. We have partnered up with the Learning Policy Institute and the Linked Learning Alliance as part of the California Performance Assessment Collaborative to bring you an online series of virtual defenses and behind-the-scene interviews.
Take a look at the first video in the series, Envision senior, Dani Martin, who vlogs about preparing for her virtual defense.

ELP HAS OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED OUR NEW PODCAST, ReMix-Ed!
This podcast situates where Assessment, Deeper Learning, Equity and Systems Change meet. Transforming schools is not light work. We illuminate complexities, lift up what’s working and imagine a path forward. With our equity lens we seek to learn from marginalized identities AND intentionally lift up their expertise.

TWITTER CHAT: DEFENDING LEARNING IN MATH
ELP just held our second Twitter Chat earlier this month and the focus was all about students defending their learning in math. The online conversation was held by our Director of STEM, Vinci Daro and previous Deeper Learning Coach & math enthusiast, Jim Malamut.
Keep an eye out for our next Twitter Chat by following ELP on Twitter at @EnvisionSchools and using the hashtag #ELPCoachChat!
Click here to see the resources from our first chat, held in March, which focused on Developing & Measuring your Grad Profile with Deeper Learning Coaches, Abby Benedetto & Suzanne Malek.
